Find the right network
Not every platform will be for your business. For example, Instagram is a huge hit for cafes and foodies, but may not be as successful with building company. While a multimedia approach to social media strategy is encouraged, focusing on your strongest network should be done too. By focusing on the platform where your audience is most active, you can utilize your other networks better. If facebook is your strength, base your posts from there but remember to link other networks such as linkedin and Instagram from time to time. It may take a while to find which network is your strongest. Take your time and focus on the numbers. It will pay off!

Learn from others
Social media is social for a reason! A key part of social media is connecting with your competitors or similar accounts. See what has worked well for them, and what hasn’t, then implement the good things to your strategy! Learn as much as you can from other accounts. Make sure to interact with them as well. If you love an Instagram account similar to your business, follow it, message them and comment on their posts. Connecting with others and putting your account out there will generate support and growth. Other people are key to growing your businesses social media.

Create good content
It doesn’t matter if you have a great goal or good connection with others, if you’re not posting quality posts, you won’t get anywhere. Variety in images, content, hashtags, videos and formats will keep audiences interested. Your posts should show your goals and get audiences excited about your brand.
