Pilates Alliance of Australasia Conference Wrap Up
The last few months have been extremely busy here at Social Media Tribe! We’ve had many great opportunities coming our way. In September, I was extremely grateful to be invited as a guest speaker at the Pilates Alliance Of Australasia Conference for 2019. The wonderful crew at PAA invited me along to chat about Social Media Strategy For Pilates Studios where I was able to talk through some of the work I have done in the past with some beautiful studios here in Victoria with Alana Mueller at Inner Balance Pilates Studio in Lara and Darren Vizer at Mr Pilates in Port Melbourne.
Both Alana and Darren were in attendance to this year’s conference, with Darren presenting his own workshop on Getting The Best Out Of Your Male Clients.
Not only was I grateful for the opportunity to present, but to speak at the International Convention Centre in Sydney was most definitely a major highlight from the weekend.
For our weekend in Sydney, we were blessed with beautiful weather and spectacular views. The event began on Friday morning with an opening presentation and complimentary Mat Class with many different classes running throughout the weekend and a wonderful lineup of presentations including; Pilates Principles presented by Moses Urbano and Pilates Protocols for Stronger Neck and Freer Shoulders presented by Cara Reeser.
On Saturday, not only did I have the opportunity to present my workshop, Social Media Strategy For Pilates Studios, but Saturday afternoon saw me speaking at the Studio Owners Panel Discussion alongside Ingrid Thompson (Healthy Numbers), David Gunther (Pilates Can Studio), Lucas Hewlett (Redchip) and Shamus Breen (BMS Insurance).
The 2019 PAA Conference was jam-packed with many early mornings and late evenings throughout the weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting with wonderful industry professionals including the President of the Pilates Alliance Australasia Sharan Simmons. Sharan’s presence throughout the weekend was delightful and endearing, along with the many other friendly faces I meet along the way.
For the huge amount of work that had been put in for this years conference the team over at PAA should be extremely proud of the community they have built over the many years and this amazing industry conference they have created! Everyone involved through the weekend, those organising, presenting or attending made the event a roaring success!
